I would definitely suggest anyone interested in better posture, or alleviating backpain nd the like, to check out the Alexander Technique. It made a huge difference for the better in my life. They have a great site where you can learn more at http://alexandertechnique.com

I would like to know if Dr. Utzinger is planning on bringing her new "Medical Spa" back to Wisconsin in the future.
I am a resident of Baraboo, an RN who is interested in finding a way to work in a similar situation.
I am really interested in mixing Western medicing, alternative medicine and life style changes including yoga, massage, but also teaching the importance of friendships in a healthy lifestyle.
Does she know of classes available in the Madison area that are availabe?

A few more tips for spa professionals:

Advise patrons what they should bring with them (towels, flip-flops, shampoo/conditioner, etc.) and what will be provided gratis (or for purchase) by the spa. I went to a so-called high-end spa in Paris...towels were provided, but nothing else, not shampoo, nor soap, etc. !

Advise patrons whether spa facilities are single sex/ mixed...which days & times are devoted to women vs. men. (Although presumably, this info would come out when reservations are made)

I'm sure I'll think of more...

Great tips, and they're all so straightforward and obvious, but definitely needed to be said! I couldn't agree more with #3 about how early to arrive pre-treatment, or even more importantly, to let me know if this is already built in to the appointment time. For example, I want to know out right if my "1 hour booking" is actually for a 50 minute massage plus 10 minute brief/prep versus a full hour long massage/treatment.

Can't wait to see the during-appointment tips!
